The Cleveland Browns lost to the Jacksonville Jaguars 34-10 on Sunday. The offense struggled in major ways for all four quarters, and the defense struggled to keep up with Jacksonville's passing game. Still, there were a few bright spots on the roster, and one defensive lineman in particular caught the eye of an NFL analyst.
The team over at Bleacher Report went through and gave their week one top takeaways and biggest questions, and they listed Mason Graham as one of the lone bright spots from Sunday:
Verse is an excellent defender and he did register a tackle for a loss in his Browns debut. However, last year's fifth overall draft pick, Graham, proved to be the more disruptive performer. Graham recorded a sack and a pair of tackles for loss while
working along the defensive interior.
The Browns want to hang their hat on a talented defensive front. Verse and Graham form an excellent starting point.
Graham lacked consistency last season, so seeing him get off to such a strong start to 2026 is a very encouraging sign. This defense is going to need to ball out again this year if this team has any hopes of being more than a four-win team.
