The 2027 NFL Draft will take place in Washington, D.C. next year. In that draft, the Browns still have their first-round pick, but a lot could happen in the next 8 months. Before then, though, there will be plenty of speculation and buildup about the team and who they may add through the draft in a class many are calling one of generational wealth.
Fox Sports' Rob Rang recently released the latest 2027 NFL mock draft of the cycle, which has the team going with a new quarterback in LSU's Sam Leavitt with their second pick of the first round.
He explains the Leavitt pick, writing, "For decades, Browns fans have wished their beloved team would earn the final first-round pick of a given NFL draft. Well, having acquired the Rams' first-rounder in the Myles
Garrett trade might finally provide the opportunity. In the interest of securing the No. 32 pick via winning the Super Bowl, Cleveland will almost certainly target a quarterback on Day 1 of the 2027 draft. One intriguing option is Leavitt, who flashed at Arizona State and I believe will flourish at LSU with Lane Kiffin."
With the Browns' first pick of the mock draft, they landed South Carolina edge rusher Dylan Stewart. For the team to leave the first round with Stewart and any other quarterback would be a homerun situation for the franchise.
