Thursday night inside Huntington Bank Field was a good day for the Cleveland Browns organization. After a week of complete and total turmoil, the Browns took the field against the New England Patriots and beat them up and down the field.
Context is obviously incredibly important here, as it was the second-, third-, and fourth-stringers competing, but sometimes it's great to watch great football.
Cleveland's quarterbacks came to play on Thursday night against the New England Patriots in Cleveland.
The two players that really stood out on Thursday night are, without question, the quarterbacks, Dillon Gabriel and Taylen Green. Each of these two players brought their A-Game and has forced an interesting conversation onto the front office.
Gabriel was first up, and he wasted absolutely no time getting the offense rolling. How about three straight scoring
drives in the first quarter, and Cleveland gained a 17-7 lead at the end of the quarter. He stayed in through the second quarter and was surgical all day.
He finished the day going 12-for-15 for 186 yards and three total touchdowns. He was feeling it nd it was very fun to watch.
The second half was the Taylen Green show, and a show that it was.
Green got off to a shaky start as a bad punt return gave him the football on his first drive at the Browns' two. Not an ideal spot. Then, drive two started exactly the same, but Green took matters into his own hands.Green scrambled for a huge gain to get the drive going and continued to push the Browns methodically up the field.

Green led a 98-yard scoring drive, which was the cherry on top for him. He finished the day just 5-for-7 for 27 yards and eight carries for 66 yards. He showed that he has some crazy elite athleticism and an ability to efficiently play the quarterback position.
Thursday kind of puts some pressure on the Browns' front office. It is unlikely that the Browns will keep four quarterbacks on their roster, so who is on the chopping block? For my money, Dillon Gabriel's days in Cleveland are numbered, and the Browns should be incredibly excited about what they have in Green.
It was an objectively fun night on the shores of Lake Erie as the Browns looked like a good football team with a good quarterback. If only we could bottle that up and force-feed it to the Browns' organization, then all of the problems would be gone.
Browns win 37-13, and it is officially time to begin preparations for week one against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
