Overall, this season, Cleveland Browns rookie left tackle Spencer Fano has had an impressive rookie season, though there have been some bumps in the road as he adjusts to switching from right tackle to left tackle.
However, he struggled mightily against the Pittsburgh Steelers from start to finish; they had him unable to win one-on-one, and he was a big part of the offense's problem trying to protect in the passing game. Fano is aware of his struggles, and he talked after the game about how he expects more from himself.
"I need to play a whole lot better than what I put out on that field. I feel like I've been taking steps all season, and feel like I took a little step back today and just need to get better."
He's been showing improvement and had
a great game against the Tennessee Titans last week in the Browns' 27-24 win. Young players will have ups and downs and this is just an example of that for Fano.
