The Cleveland Browns are off to a tumultuous 2026 season with the quarterback position being at the center of it all. Deshaun Watson left fans looking for more in Week 1 when the team lost 34-10 on the road to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Ahead of Week 2 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Watson spoke to the media and voiced a tone of annoyance with how the media is covering his position.
He stated, "Personally, I think all that is for the media. I think the media has this expectation that I'm supposed to throw for 400 yards and five touchdowns every week. Until that happens, I guess it's going to be the same situation. My job is to make sure I'm operating well so we can try to get a win and keep moving forward from there."

While Watson may feel like fans have these high expectations, one would argue they don't. They just want winning football, they want consistency in a positive light at the position, and Watson hasn't given that. No fan base gets or even expects that sort of production, so why mention it?
