The Cleveland Browns have had plenty of time this offseason to reflect on what they need to do in 2026. With a new coaching staff and an overhauled roster, Week 1 will speak volumes about what they'll be like.
ESPN also did one last bit of reflection when they tasked the beat writers for their respective teams with answering a few final questions about their teams. One of those questions was what part of the team is going to be the most concerning throughout the year.
To no one's surprise, it was the quarterback position.
He explained, "The Browns are going back to Deshaun Watson after a 22-month layoff from game action due to a torn right Achilles tendon. But after struggling in the preseason and receiving boos from his home crowd, Watson's tenure
might not be for long, and Shedeur Sanders could find himself under center. Cleveland has a promising young core, but the inability to find an answer at quarterback could prevent it from all coming together."
It may seem like low-hanging fruit, but when you have four quarterbacks on the roster, yes, one is on injured reserve, there is going to be a lot of discussion. If it isn't Deshaun Watson all season long, who comes in and makes a difference? At the very worst, the chaos will be worth following along with.
