The Cleveland Browns are facing a pivotal moment early in the season as they take on the Carolina Panthers in their home opener.
The game comes on the heels of a tough win on the road against a scrappy Tampa Bay Buccaneers team, but this Panthers squad presents a new challenge. The Panthers have found their passing attack with Bryce Young and Tetairoa McMillan renewing their chemistry from 2025. Because of that, the Browns' secondary is going to be tested, but they will have to pass this test with a key piece missing after the team announced its inactives.
The team will be without the following players in Week 3:
- CB Tyson Campbell
- QB Taylen Green (QB3)
- LB Justin Jefferson
- C Parker Brailsford
- G Teven Jenkins
Myles Harden will be tasked with stepping up again, as he did in Week 2, without Campbell in the lineup. He secured a pivotal interception
against Baker Mayfield, but can he do the same against Bryce Young? Also, another takeaway is that, with Jenkins being out, is Austin Barber the new full-time starting guard in his place? The rookie out of Florida has played well so far through two weeks and shows no signs of slowing down.
