The Cleveland Browns did it. In primetime, against the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Browns held onto the win and are now atop the AFC North. And not only are they the leaders in the AFC North, but they are also the sole leader, which hasn't happened since 2014.
Because of that early success, one analyst is suggesting the Cleveland Browns be buyers heading towards the trade deadline.
Bleacher Report's Moe Moton recently wrote about who the " buyers and sellers " are of the early NFL season results. When it came time to discuss the Cleveland Browns, Moton was labeling them as a team that needs to be buying when the opportunity presents itself.
He writes, "Overall, the Browns should look to add veterans who can help fuel a surprise run at a division title
or wild-card playoff berth. General manager Andrew Berry could add a veteran pass-rusher to fill a void while standout second-year defensive tackle Mason Graham is out with MCL and ankle sprains. Mike Hall Jr. is also dealing with an ankle sprain. Graham leads the Browns with four sacks. Without him, Cleveland needs a defender who can complement defensive end Jared Verse as an interior disruptor."
Mason Graham's health is going to be a major factor in how they approach this trade deadline, most likely. On top of that, there continue to be calls for the team to trade Jerry Jeudy to get something out of the veteran receiver. It will be interesting to see what Andrew Berry and his staff put together ahead of the deadline, as they have a chance to make a splash this season.
