The Cleveland Browns announced on Tuesday that they would be opening the practice window for two players who are currently on injured reserve. Defensive tackle Kalia Davis and quarterback Dillon Gabrield have officially had their practice windows opened. They have 21 days to activate them to the 53-man roster, or else they will go onto injured reserve for the rest of the season.
With Mason Graham set to miss some time with a knee injury and Mike Hall Jr. a little banged up, the Browns could use some help at defensive tackle, so getting Kalia Davis back as a solid depth piece would help the defensive line while they get healthy.
Dillon Gabriel’s return will be interesting; it doesn’t seem likely that the team will be able to carry four quarterbacks
on the roster, so if he is activated, someone is going to be the odd man out, and it could end up being him. It seems likely the Browns will try to either trade a quarterback or sneak one of them onto the practice squad once Gabriel is activated.
