Ohio State is coming off of a disappointing -- and what some would say -- an avoidable loss on the road vs. Texas Saturday, and now it's time to turn the page. That page leads directly to a visiting in-state opponent, Kent State, and while the Buckeyes are looking to get back in the win column, the Golden Flashes are going against a foe that is going to offer one whale of a challenge.
Kent State head coach Mark Carney knows the uphill climb it will be to go into the 'Shoe and try to find a way to contain all of the talent his club will be going against, and he didn't mince words when talking about it. He met with the media earlier this week to talk about the opportunity of going to Columbus and playing one of the best teams in the country, and he had
some high praise for what he saw from Ohio State on film.
Carney discussed the challenge of guarding receiver Jeremiah Smith, how well-coached and disciplined OSU's defense is, the talent across the board on the roster, and more. You can watch and listen to all of his comments in a pretty brief, just over seven-minute-long press conference if you are into that sort of thing, thanks to the GFTV YouTube channel.
Ohio State and Kent State are scheduled to kick things off at Noon ET on Saturday, and there'll be plenty more to discuss leading up to it, during, and after the game here on Buckeyes Wire.
