Former Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. will soon join a new NFL team, as the Arizona Cardinals reportedly finalize the trade of the former Buckeye star.
The 2024 fourth overall pick established himself as one of the top offensive weapons in college football during his time in Columbus. Harrison racked up over 1,200 yards and 14 touchdowns in consecutive years with the Buckeyes
and earned 2023 Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year. The Cardinals drafted the two-time All-American with high expectations. However, Harrison has struggled to find the same success at the NFL stage. In his rookie campaign, he recorded 885 yards and eight touchdowns on 62 receptions. Last season, Harrison hauled in 41 catches for 608 yards, and only found the end
zone on four occasions.
Now four games into the 2026 season, Harrison looks almost non-existent in the Arizona offense. He has only accumulated five receptions and 85 yards with one touchdown and sits at fifth on the Cardinals roster for targets, with Trey McBride, Michael Wilson, Kendrick Bourne, and Jeremiyah Love all receiving more looks in the passing game.
Arizona now plans to trade Harrison and has listed the wide receiver as inactive for Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions.

Marvin Harrison Jr. reunited with former Ohio State QB?
Harrison's next destination remains unconfirmed as Arizona works to finalize the deal. However, the Houston Texans have emerged as a potential landing spot with reports of trade talks between them and Arizona. Should the Texans acquire Harrison, he would be reunited with his former Buckeye teammate and quarterback C.J. Stroud.
Harrison exploded onto the college football scene in the 2022 season with Stroud at the helm for Ohio State. The two connected for 77 receptions, 1,263 yards, and 14 touchdowns on the season. A move to Houston could reignite the chemistry between the former Buckeyes and provide Harrison with a fresh start.
Wherever Harrison lands, the change of scenery could provide a chance for him to rediscover the success that made him a dominant receiver at Ohio State. We'll have more on this as details emerge.
One team that has had Marvin Harrison trade talks with Arizona is Houston, sources tell me and @rapsheet. Houston has been, and is thought to be, square in the mix for Harrison. But as one Texans source said about the team’s interest in Harrison, “I can’t confirm or deny at this… https://t.co/qEGc9qsJDs
