Tuesday is always the day in which Ohio State head coach Ryan Day meets with the media to preview the next opponent, but in this case, despite a talented Oregon team coming to the banks of the Olentangy, the Buckeye beat was focused on debriefing what happened out in L.A. against USC Saturday night.
To his credit, Day fielded a bushel of tough questions about how badly the team played, why it played that way, and where the accountability is. It couldn't have been a press conference the man responsible for the happiness of Buckeye Nation was looking forward to. Regardless, it was all information that inquiring Scarlet and Gray minds wanted to know.
It might have been one of the most interesting press conferences of Day's era in Columbus, and if
you missed it, we have it here thanks to the WBNS 10TV YouTube channel. Day touched on the team's preparedness, the play of quarterback Luke Fahey, some of the questionable coaching decisions, and more.
It doesn't really get any easier for Ohio State. Despite three losses, the Oregon Ducks might have the most talented roster in the country and are capable of completely ruining a bunch of goals that are still on the table in Columbus. In other words, it better be a good week of practice where some things get hammered out so the team can put its best foot forward.
