Something is happening in college football that hasn't happened in 20 years. The crew from ESPN and College GameDay will be heading to Iowa City as No. 5 Ohio State comes to town to battle No. 14 Iowa.
The news comes shortly after the Hawkeyes pulled off the miracle comeback win over Michigan Saturday afternoon. The victory over the Wolverines keeps Iowa in the ranks of the unbeaten and most likely moved the needle in favor of featuring this battle in the Big Ten. Undefeated Alabama at undefeated Mississippi State was probably the other option, but even ESPN's SEC bias can't deny the draw of the Buckeyes. It will be the 70th time OSU has been the featured game on location.
The last time GameDay went to Iowa, Lee Corso was still in his prime. Corso would
go on to pick the Hawkeyes, donning the Black and Gold headgear, but Troy Smith led the way with four touchdown passes as No. 1 Ohio State got the last laugh, beating Iowa handily by a score of 38-17.
