Well, there is no way around it... That's a tough one to swallow. Ohio State led Texas 23-3 in the second half but couldn't hold on for the win. It was an epic collapse after the Buckeyes dominated for most of three quarters. Conservative play calling on both sides of the ball let the Longhorns build momentum and ultimately pull off an improbable comeback.
As you might imagine, the loss has led to some pretty strong feelings. Some may be an overreaction, but some are just plain facts. The game was well within hand, but the team didn't make the plays when needed, nor did the coaching staff put the players in the best possible position to finish out the game. Fortunately, a one-point loss on the road to the No. 4 team in the country won't hurt
Ohio State's playoff chances all that much; however, with the schedule this team has, they had better learn how to put opponents away when they have the chance.
