of how he came to Columbus.It's one thing for the prognosticators to rave about how talent will play out at the next level, but it's a completely different matter when a fellow player sees it firsthand. Especially when that player is regarded as the best player in the nation. Jeremiah Smith sees something special in Bey. So special, Smith has made a fairly bold prediction
for a kid who hasn't even played his first collegiate game yet. The All-American wide receiver says before Bey leaves Ohio State, "He'll be a Heisman finalist, or he'll end up winning it."

How high is…
Coming from Smith, who knows a thing or two about being special, is pretty high praise. Smith sees the freshman competing against one of the best defenses in the country every day in practice. If even half of what he says is accurate, then Buckeye Nation is in for a treat for the next three to four years.
Fans hope to get their first real look at Bey when Ohio State kicks off the 2026 season against Ball State on Saturday, September 5, at 12:30 pm ET.
