To say Ohio State wide receiver Jeremiah Smith is a superstar would be an understatement. He is one of the most valuable players in the country, not only on the field, where he may very well be the best receiver ever, but also off the field when it comes to NIL valuation. Smith lands in the top five with a $5 million value, according to On3.
Part of that comes from a deal the Buckeye All-American signed with shoe company Adidas. It was a bit of a shock, especially since Ohio State is a Nike school, but now Smith is starring in a commercial for the German shoe company entitled "Show 'Em". The ad features Smith's father, Chris, narrating, and takes him back to Miami Gardens, where he is seen with other young men who turn out to be high school classmates.
It is a very well-done piece that not only highlights the Adidas brand, but also tells a story in the short video. Take a look below, courtesy of the Adidas football Instagram account.
Smith has been doing nothing but "Showing 'Em" since arriving on campus. He is about to take over most OSU receiving records and do so in less than three years. He has been as good as advertised and has earned every penny of his NIL money.
