Boom! The Ohio State women's basketball team got some great news as August begins. Five-Star small forward Mya Wilson has committed to the Buckeyes. She is rated as a top-50 player and the No. 11 small forward in the 2027 class according to 247Sports composite rankings.
According to recruiting expert Brandon Clay, Ohio State is getting a good one, saying, "Wilson has legitimate length on the perimeter, standing right at 6-foot-1. She can score the basketball and is very comfortable going to her right to get a bucket. Wilson’s ability to space the floor with her 3-point shooting is a potential calling card of sorts at the college level. If she can do that at a 36 percent clip or higher, it will be hard for opposing defenses to help off Wilson,
freeing up driving lanes for her teammates."
Wilson has already eclipsed 2,000 career points at Hill-Murray High School in Maplewood, Minnesota. She chose the Buckeyes over Iowa, Minnesota, and TCU.

Wilson joins four-star point guard Myella Chapman as the second commit in Kevin McGuff's 2027 class. Currently, Ohio State has the No. 2 overall class in the country.
