The Ohio State football team gets a chance to wash that very bad and disappointing taste out of its mouth from the USC loss Saturday when it heads back home to host a talented Oregon team that's also looking to turn some things around.
This might be the two most talented rosters in the Big Ten, and any loss from here on out would be a significant issue for Ohio State's chances of making the College Football Playoff. As it stands now, if the playoff were to take place based on the first release of the CFP rankings, the Buckeyes would miss it as the No. 12-ranked team (the top-ranked Group of Six team, Boise State, would get the twelfth spot).
We like to take a look at the odds of each Ohio State football game early in the week before the weekend
occurs, and in this case, OSU might be a bit of a surprising and significant favorite according to BetMGM.

Ohio State vs. Oregon prediction, picks for college football Week 10
Phil Harrison, Buckeyes Wire
Ohio State 27, Oregon 23: It won't be easy. The Ohio State offense will still struggle to find a rhythm as it finds an identity with freshman Luke Fahey under center, but will lean on some big plays down the field to Jeremiah Smith and a solid -- not great -- running attack. The Ducks will make plays, but the entire Ohio State team will play well enough in a bounce-back performance to keep things on track for a Big Ten title and College Football Playoff appearance.
