The 2026 college football season isn't quite here yet, but every day we get closer and closer, and nothing says we are on the doorstep of another fantastic season more than getting a peek at one of the major preseason polls. That's exactly what we have with the release of the US LBM 2026 Preseason Coaches Poll that just dropped on Tuesday.
USA TODAY has had a long-running affiliation with the coaches poll, and it's no different in 2026, so we'll bring you the poll each and every time that it is released, with the next one coming after Week 0 when we have real, live games. Ohio State is always a mainstay at the top of the poll, and it's no different this season. The preseason poll has some of the usual suspects like Texas, Notre Dame, Oregon,
Georgia, and Alabama, but where did each land?
