Another member of the Ohio State football team has lost his black stripe. Longsnapper Dalton Riggs has been officially welcomed to the Brotherhood.
It's a position that largely goes under the radar until something goes wrong with a bad snap. With the Buckeyes' kicking woes in recent years, it is a position of utmost importance. Riggs comes to Columbus by way of the transfer portal. The Idaho native began his collegiate career at BYU before transferring to Central Florida last year. After another portal entry, Riggs was ranked as the No. 2 longsnapper in the portal and parlayed his success into an offer from OSU. He appeared in 15 games over three years in Provo and was the starting longsnapper for the Knights all last season.
Riggs will replace
John Ferlman who spent the last three seasons as the longsnapper for the Buckeyes.

Riggs becomes the 14th player to lose his black stripe so far this offseason.
