As everyone expected, the game between Ohio State and Indiana in Bloomington was a fourth-quarter white-knuckle game that came down to one play. Luckily, that play went in the Buckeyes' favor, resulting in a 19-15 victory for the Scarlet and Gray. It was a win Ohio State sorely needed to keep all of its main goals on the table, and it got out of it with a Houdini act to live another day.
Indiana head coach Curt Cignetti met with reporters after the game to discuss what he saw from his team and Ohio State, and as much as we like to hear from Ryan Day after each game, we are sometimes even more interested in what the opposing coach says.
Cignetti was clearly frustrated with his team's inability to take advantage of opportunities, but he also discussed
Ohio State and what he saw from the Buckeyes. He lamented the turnovers, lack of execution, and missed opportunities more than anything else.
Ohio State now heads into an off week but has a lot of questions since it looks like quarterback Julian Sayin will be out for 'several weeks.' We'll have plenty during the off week to reflect on the season so far and what lies ahead.
