As the season goes on, games tend to take on more importance at a place like Ohio State, and so it is this Saturday when the Buckeyes travel to Iowa City to take on a ranked Hawkeyes team. To make matters even more intriguing, Iowa just beat rival Michigan on a last-second play and are flying high heading into the matchup.
But Iowa head coach Kirk Ferentz knows last week was last week, and there's probably a bigger challenge ahead with a top-five Ohio State team coming to Kinnick for a game that will probably go a long way in deciding what happens in the Big Ten.
Ferentz met with the media in Iowa City earlier this week to reflect on the win over the Wolverines and to preview what's ahead with Ohio State. He was rather stoic in his assessment
of the challenge it will be to play the Buckeyes, praising the talent, coaching, and size, and we've got all of his comments for you to watch and read here ahead of the game.
The Iowa head man talked at length about receiver Jeremiah Smith, the respect he has for Ryan Day, compared the Buckeyes to the Wolverines, and more.
Ohio State and Iowa are scheduled to kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS. ESPN's College GameDay will be in attendance to make things even more fun. We'll have coverage before, during, and after, as always.
