The Ohio State football team is back in action after a week off, and the timing couldn't have been any better because the Buckeyes will have to break in a new starting quarterback with the injury to starter Julian Sayin. Everyone wants to know if the starter will be Luke Fahey or Tavien St. Clair
. Head coach Ryan Day said both have had good practices, but he has yet to name a starter, even saying that both could play. What's not good timing is the fact that it'll be a road game for Ohio State and one that involves flying all the way across the country to L.A. to take on the USC Trojans, a team that desperately needs a win to keep some of its goals on the table. We like to keep tabs on what the oddsmakers say for each OSU game, and in this case,
the Buckeyes are a modest favorite on the road.
Here's a look at what BetMGM says about the odds for Ohio State vs. USC and a prediction for what will happen out in SoCal.

Ohio State vs. USC prediction, picks for college football Week 9
Phil Harrison, Buckeyes Wire
Ohio State 24, USC 17: The Ohio State offense will show a little rust, and USC will gain a little bit of a lift from the home crowd, keeping this one close throughout. The Buckeye defense will force enough stops, and the offense will move the chains just enough and make a few more plays than USC does to pull out a closer victory out in O.A.
