The sun came up today, Ohio State fans. I know it didn't feel like it would, but onward and upward after a very confusing and disappointing loss on the road to a USC team that was trying to find itself.
The loss, as expected -- the second of the year for Ohio State -- saw the Buckeyes experience a significant drop in the latest US LBM Coaches poll. OSU was No. 2 entering the contest and fell all the way down to No. 10 just a couple of days before the first College Football Playoff rankings of the 2026 season.
Ahead of the Buckeyes are Miami (FL) (1), Georgia (2), Indiana (3), Utah (4), UCLA (5), Notre Dame (6), Kentucky (7), BYU (8), and Alabama (9). Other Big Ten teams in the rankings include USC (17), Iowa (20), and Northwestern (23). What a zany
college football season so far.
