Talk about a game in which Ohio State did little to help out a freshman quarterback making his first-ever start for a blueblood program. That's exactly what happened in Los Angeles against USC on Saturday night for the Buckeyes, and now they are left to pick up the pieces and try to move forward with all of their goals still on the table, but with little margin for error.
Buckeye head coach Ryan Day met with the media following the game and was noticeably frustrated and disappointed by his team's performance. He touched on what he saw from Luke Fahey at quarterback, discussed the multiple penalties, usage of the clock, and much more.
And in case you didn't get a chance to watch and listen to his entire postgame press conference, we have it in its
entirety (a little over seven minutes) thanks to the WBNS 10TV YouTube channel. There are some audio issues at the beginning because of a mic issue at the Coliseum, but that gets sorted out.
Ohio State now has to find a way to put together a better showing with the Oregon Ducks coming to town next week, and it's anybody's guess what type of mindset this team will have in that one. We'll have plenty leading up to it.
