Josh Allen will not suit up for the Buffalo Bills when the team takes on the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday at Highmark Stadium. That makes sense since it is the preseason finale--there is no reason to risk injury.
Allen might still be put to work, though.
After confirming that Allen would not play, Buffalo head coach Joe Brady said Allen might get a chance to do his best impression of the coach.
Allen could get a chance to call some plays during the contest with the Steelers when Kyle Allen and Shane Buechele are leading the offense.
"He wants it all the time," Brady said.
Brady will want to get his play-calling reps in against the Steelers as well. But why not? Josh Allen says he's good at it.
"I'd like to think I'm a pretty balanced play caller,"
Allen said. "Explosive play caller."
We'll be the judge of that... if Josh Allen gets his chance.
