Buffalo Bills 2026 NFL training camp is underway and will be watched under a microscope each and every day. Especially with the hiring of Joe Brady as the team's new head coach.
Throughout practices each day, updates are shared during the workouts which make for intriguing and important notes.
In terms of Day 3 of training camp, what stood out the most?
Here are Bills Wire's three observations from the third day of training camp:
CJ injury
It took until Day 3 of Bills training camp before a big injury scare happened. It was from safety CJ Gardner-Johnson, the new safety that looks like he is vying for a starting spot.
Now let's get straight to it: Per ESPN's Adam Schefter, it's not serious. It is just a calf strain. It might be a few weeks of rehab required
but the alternative could've been much worse.
Linebacker pair
Various reports have noted the linebacker pair that is running with the first-team defense, including Syracuse.com. It is Terrel Bernard and rookie Kaleb Elarms-Orr, a fifth-round pick at the 2026 NFL Draft.
The first-year pro is getting an opportunity over Dorian Williams early with the starters.
Palmer play
Another "Play of the Day" to report on and the video was shared. Oft-injured in his first season with the Bills in 2025 was Josh Palmer. Check out this play from him on Day 3 with the finger tips.
That's a stand-out effort:
