Is Buffalo Bills star Spencer Brown the best right tackle in the NFL?
That question is one that is up for debate this summer, along with how the top players at all of the other positions in the league stack up against one another.
Bleacher Report ranked Brown No. 3 overall
in their rankings of the best right tackles in the NFL for the 2026 season, placing him in their high-quality starter tier at the position. Here's B/R's breakdown on Brown:
”Brown remains a weapon on the move and a very good pass protector, but his 2025 effort reinforced that elite athletic tools still require clean timing, health and leverage management to stay in the top right-tackle tier."
Philadelphia Eagles RT Lane Johnson (No. 1) was ranked ahead of Brown in a tier of his
own as a franchise cornerstone-level right tackle. Los Angeles Chargers RT Joe Alt (No. 2) was also ranked ahead of Brown.
Brown allowed only two sacks last season. However, he did give up 36 total pressures on the year — a number that he will want to greatly reduce next season in order to keep Bills superstar quarterback Josh Allen protected and be held in a higher light at the right tackle position.
Pro Football Focus graded Brown a 76.6 overall mark for his work last season.
