No one can explain the heater Greg Rousseau is on at the start of the 2026 NFL season.
Joe Brady did his best to.
Some would call the Buffalo Bills (3-0) beating the Los Angeles Chargers (0-3) in a 24-16 final an "ugly win" Others, probably Rousseau, would consider it a stout defensive effort... one which he led.
Rousseau added two sacks to his total for the season against the Chargers. That's six in three games. Rousseau is the first player in Bills history to have six sacks through three games. Yes, not even Pro Football Hall of Famer Bruce Smith has done that.
Brady said after the game it comes down to one word in his mind: Confidence.
"He's confident right now. With any player, once you get a little taste of success you think 'hey, it's coming,'"
Brady said. "He's playing confidently and I'll remind him tomorrow that no one gives a damn, let's go do it again."
As for Rousseau, he wanted to put the spotlight to be on the entire Bills defense.
"We felt like we've been playing good defense," Rousseau said. "I felt like we did a good job of responding this week."
