The Bills got a boost on defense in their game against a Las Vegas Raiders offense that's been a off to a hot start to the 2026 NFL season.

The defense had already forced a punt to begin the second half. When Las Vegas got the ball back, Williams was waiting over the middle.
"Not knowing where routes were coming and then his eyes kind of took me there as well," Williams shared about what he say on the play. "Just playing off both vision and knowing what coverage we were in."
It was a play the team needed after halftime, as the LB
read Kirk Cousins and intercepting a pass intended for Michael Mayer. His milestone gave Buffalo's offense a short field, and Josh Allen made sure it did not go to waste as Buffalo turned the ensuing possession into Allen's dazzling touchdown to Coleman's touchdown.
Jim Leonhard's defense doesn't not need every play to be spectacular but efficient, still it needs its linebackers to capitalize when the quarterback makes a mistake. Williams did just that.
It's cool. I mean, you know, we have a long season," the LB said, putting the play into perspective. " I'm a big in the moment guy, it was great moment, but that's all it is, is a moment in the past now and we just got to keep growing on that and get better."
Business as usual, and he's already forward focused.
That was important in a game Las Vegas kept close until the end. And for defensive coordinator Jim Leonhard and head coach Joe Brady, it was an encouraging example of a linebacker stepping up in a defense tailored for that position group to impact games.
For Williams, it became a career milestone with a direct impact on the Bills getting the win.
