The Buffalo Bills and Los Angeles Chargers will continue their 2026 NFL regular season schedules on Sunday when the two teams do battle at Highmark Stadium in Week 3.
Like there will be every week, there are plenty of expected headline that will pop up during the days leading up to this one. Yes, some will be obvious... but others not so much.
With that, here are Bills Wire's five storylines to watch for ahead of Bills at Chargers:
Trap game
This term is going to be tossed all over this matchup... but all because of the Chargers.
Los Angeles is off to brutal start to the 2026 NFL season. Two lowly teams in the Arizona Cardinals and Las Vegas Raiders upset the Bolts in their first two games.
Meanwhile, the Bills are flying high.

a letdown happening is going to be asked at One Bills Drive all week.
Josh Allen's pace
Bills quarterback Josh Allen is on a remarkable run to start the year and until it stops, he's going to be asked about it every week. Allen has nine total touchdowns (5 passing) to start the 2026 season.
Bills injury surpises
The Bills had two injury surprises rock the team during Week 2. Prior to kickoff against the Detroit Lions, defensive tackle Ed Oliver injured his hip and did not play. Then during the contest, wide receiver DJ Moore was hurt after a defender landed on his shoulder.
We'll find out their injury updates throughout the next week leading up to kickoff. It's unclear if either will play against the Chargers at this point.
Points allowed
The Bills have played decent on defense but have yet to put up a full-game effort. That is shown by the 31 points Buffalo has allowed in each of their first two games against the Lions and Houston Texans.
Discussions about improving that will be held internally and by onlookers throughout Buffalo this week.
Rousseau and Walker
While the defense has struggled with points allowed, there have been two players standing out: edge defender Greg Rousseau and defensive lineman Deone Walker.
Rousseau has started the year with four sacks, two in each of the first two games. A reason he can get to the opposing quarterback is because of Walker, who has nine QB pressures already this year after he had eight in 19 games in 2025.
Both will be asked about their efforts and how they will keep it up.
