Buffalo Bills edge defender Greg Rousseau remains as a middling option to win the 2026 NFL Defensive Player of the Year Award despite his hot start to the season.
The Bills (3-1) lost the New England Patriots (2-2) in a 29-26 final in Week 4 where it felt like the entire team had a drop off, Rousseau included. Rousseau still leads the league with six sacks but failed to record one against the Pats.
However, Pro Football Focus wouldn't have blamed Rousseau for the defeat. The football analytics outlet graded Rousseau as Buffalo's fourth-best defender in the outing with an overall grade of 71.3.
Worth noting, Rousseau was also the AFC Defensive Player of the Month for September.
All in all, Rousseau is still a top-five candidate for the DPOY but rounds
out the group entering Week 5.
