The Buffalo Bills are dodging a bullet because of the most unfortunate reasons in Week 1.
The Bills kick off the 2026 NFL season on the road against the Houston Texans... a team who now be without one of their best playmakers on offense for that game.
According to reports including Texans Wire, Houston's Jayde Higgins, one of the team's starting wide receivers, has tore his ACL. He will be out for the entire upcoming season.
Jayden Higgins' sophomore season is officially over for the Houston Texans.

Per Texans Wire, Higgins was injured during practice this week and the situation below unfolded:
During red zone team drills in Tuesday's practice, Higgins ran a route in the end zone and
fell awkwardly. He lay there in pain while teammates came to check on him before the medical staff arrived. While the cart was pulled out, Higgins was able to walk off the field under his own power and head back to the locker room with the training staff.
Higgins had a promising rookie year in 2025 as he had 525 receiving yards and six touchdowns while helping Houston secure 12 wins.
Nico Collins remains the Texans' top wide receiver for quarterback CJ Stroud, but opposing defenses, like the Bills in Week 1, can focus more on Collins with Higgins out of the picture.
Bills Wire will continue to provide updates throughout the 2026 NFL season.
