The Buffalo Bills announced that defensive back Te'Cory Couch has been elevated from the team's practice squad and he will be in the lineup to face the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 3.
That move has important direct and indirect meaning.

Directly, Couch will likely take the spot of defensive back Jordan Hancock (hamstring) who was placed on the team's injured reserve list in the lineup for the Bills (2-0) against the Chargers (0-2). Couch will likely take Hancock's snaps on special teams and provide depth in the secondary.
Indirectly, the focus is on Couch's position. He is not a wide receiver like Keon Coleman (ankle) and DJ Moore (shoulder) are.
The pair of wideouts were
listed as questionable to play against the Chargers. With the Bills not elevating a receiver from the practice squad, that could mean one or both is healthy enough to play.
