Buffalo Bills star James Cook racked up yardage not only on the ground, but in the receiving game last year.
According toNFL.com, Cook recorded the fourth-most yards from scrimmage last season with 1,912.
Cook finished behind Atlanta Falcons star Bijan Robinson (2,298), San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey (2,126), and Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor (1,963).
The Bills’ star rusher led the NFL in rushing yards last season with 1,621. He was able to register 291 receiving yards while dealing with the workload that he had on the ground last season.
Cook is one of the most prolific players in the league. His career year in 2025 may lead to more great seasons from him moving forward. Scrimmage yards also contribute toward
a player winning the AP Offensive Player of the Year award, which recording 2,000 or more of will increase his chances of winning.
Cook will be the Bills’ starting running back again in 2026 with a new field of opponents to go up against in pursuit of accumulating more yardage. The Bills have an upgraded offense for next season with DJ Moore now in town, and that may enable Cook to have an even better season in 2026.
