The Buffalo Bills and Minnesota Vikings will have an impactful cross-conference showdown in Week 9. Kickoff is slated for 8:15 p.m. at U.S. Bank Stadium on "Monday Night Football."
A game that could mean plenty down the line when the playoffs come into the picture, we might see some big, bold moments that unfold.
With that, here are Bills Wire'sthree bold predictions for Week 9:
Bills held to under 30 points
The Bills offense can still have a strong game in this one and average 33.3 points per game, the most in the NFL. On the flip side, the Vikings defense has been talked about all week and need little introduction. It's a good unit.
So good in fact, the aggressive Minnesota defense leads the NFL in fewest points allowed per game (13.3). Buffalo's offense should outscore the Vikings'
average of 13.3 points allowed per game, but going over 33.3 won't happen.
Justin Jefferson scores twice
The Vikings are starting Carson Wentz at quarterback which might be bad news for the Bills defense. He could realistically have a better game passing than starter Kyler Murray would have had.
Wentz playing is going to be good news for All-Pro wide receiver Justin Jefferson. In a game earlier this season against the Green Bay Packers where Wentz played, Jefferson had two touchdowns. It might happen again.
Hamlin has a pick
Wentz and the Vikings offense will likely throw in the direction of Damar Hamlin, who is now the Bills' starter following the release of CJ Gardner-Johnson. Minnesota might get some yards doing so, but let's predict at least one good play from Hamlin--An interception.
