The Buffalo Bills and Las Vegas Raiders will continue their 2026 NFL regular season schedules on Sunday when the two teams do battle at Allegiant Stadium in Week 6.
Like there will be every week, there are plenty of expected headlines that will pop up during the days leading up to this one between the Bills (4-1) and Rams (3-2). Yes, some will be obvious... but others not so much.
With that, here are Bills Wire's five storylines to watch for ahead of Week 6:
Brady is watching Cook
Buffalo head coach issued a warning to running back James Cook.
That puts a spotlight on Cook moving forward.
Cook fumbled in overtime against the LA Rams last week. The Bills went on to win, but Brady called Cook out after the fact. The coach noted Cook's positive play so far this year, but added
the fumbles have to stop.
That's a storyline that will be talked about throughout the coming days.
Everything on defense
We are five games into the Bills' 2026 NFL season. The defense has not only underwhelmed, coordinator Jim Leonhard's unit might be worse this season.
Yes, the pass rush and the likes of Greg Rousseau have stood out. But that secondary is going to be talked about because that might be the NFL's worse defensive backfield. Can they find some way to improve?
Shorter week than opponent
It might not seem like much to those of us who don't have a physically demanding job like working in the NFL. However, it matters.
The Bills played on "Monday Night Football" against the Rams. The Raiders' last game was on Sunday. That gives them an extra day of rest than the Bills.
Does Buffalo's coaching staff change the practice schedule this week in reaction to that? Does that affect the way the Bills play on Sunday? Stay tuned...
Where are the Bills? (Physically)
In a similar space, this game is on the road. After Buffalo's team was in Los Angeles on Monday, they are opting to stay out west ahead of playing in Las Vegas next weekend. That's a big adjustment of schedule.
And hopefully no one gets in trouble out in Sin City...
