Bills quarterback Josh Allen found Josh Palmer for a big touchdown play for the second week in a row Thursday night.
The Buffalo receiver has had a touchdown in each of their first two games in unpracticed passing scenarios, and the team is now 2-0 to start the 2026 NFL season.
Palmer's only catch on three targets against Detroit was his biggest one, a 43-yard touchdown from Josh Allen in the first quarter of the 41-31 win over the Lions at Highmark Stadium.

"Yeah I had a route, you could call it like a like run into the back pylon, back goal post," Palmer said to the media after the win. "I was able to adjust my angle based
off the safety and get over top."
The big time play marked the return of "Logo Allen" touchdown throws from midfield, a welcome sight for sore eyes among Bills fans who've longed for the days of bombs downfield to the likes of John Brown and Gabe Davis.
That part of the passing game hasn't been as present in recent seasons, but has returned early and often this season. That is due in big part to the addition of WR1 D.J. Moore, but also to the emergence of Palmer, who was signed to a three year deal in free agency last offseason.
His scoring catch against the Lions came only several days after his 34-yard game-winner in Houston, giving the former Tennessee wideout and Canadian native a touchdown in each of Buffalo's first two games.
"I just run every route with my heart," the Bills receiver continued. "Even if I don't get the ball, if I watch the film and every route looks like I put my heart into it, I can sleep at night. I've worked on my confidence a lot in the offseason, a lot during camp. So, I just feel like it's just, it's just showing right now."
Allen was asked near the end of his postgame press conference Thursday night about whether he planned to throw to Palmer or whether it was a heads up touchdown pass for the second week in a row, after sharing during his media availability after the win in Houston that that winning play was not a throw they'd practiced on that route before.
