The Buffalo Bills have some potential help to coming to their secondary soon.
The Bills (6-1) have designated defensive back Jordan Hancock to return from injured reserve. The move was reported on the NFL's transaction wire on Wednesday:
Hancock, a fifth-round pick of the Bills at the 2025 NFL Draft, has appeared in 13 games and made 22 tackles. Hancock was injured following Buffalo's second game of the season.
Hancock made just five tackles as a rotational piece but the team's secondary has seen plenty of changes since his stay on injured reserve. Buffalo most recently released safety CJ Gardner-Johnson.
Hancock still has to be added to the Bills' 53-man roster before he can play. The team has 21 days to do so but he can be activated to play in
Week 9 against the Minnesota Vikings (6-1) if the Bills decided to do so.
Bills Wire will continue to provide updates throughout the 2026 NFL season.
