Buffalo Bills star James Cook sits high on the NFL top-100 player of 2026 list.
According toNFL.com, Cook came in at No. 20 overall in the voting, determined by the league’s players, after his sensational season in 2025. The outlet's breakdown on Cook can be found below:
”In the aftermath of a contract kerfuffle, Cook showed he was worth every penny of his 2025 extension,” Gordon said. “A season after leading the NFL in rushing touchdowns, Cook won the league rushing crown, becoming just the second Buffalo back to do so. Robin to Josh Allen's Batman, Cook averaged an NFL-best 95.4 yards per game as he roared to his third straight Pro Bowl selection. During the regular season, the Bills were 8-1 when Cook topped 100 yards, one of many indicators
of just how important he is to Buffalo's success.”
Cook rose 69 spots on the NFL 100 list this year, after ranking No. 89 in 2025.
The 26-year-old’s 1,621 rushing yards led the league, and his 12 rushing touchdowns on the year served as a nice complement. His 291 receiving yards brought him just 88 yards short of recording 2,000 yards from scrimmage on the year.
Cook's massive production garnered him praise from his peers around the league as a result of making the list.
