The Bills are widely considered to be one of the strongest Super Bowl contender in the AFC heading into next season.
Quarterback Josh Allen has star wide receiver DJ Moore to look to as his new No. 1 wide receiver, while Khalil Shakir offers strong WR2 production and James Cook has the ability to lead the league in rushing again in 2026. Defensively, things were shaken up by the addition of coordinator Jim Leonhard following the firing of former head coach Sean McDermott.
The Associated Press’predicted that the Bills will in fact reach the Super Bowl next season, but lose to the Philadelphia
Eagles.
The New England Patriots, Denver Broncos and Houston Texans are the biggest threats to the Bills in the AFC, with the Kansas City Chiefs also being a team to take seriously.
However, the Bills have offensive talent that matches or trumps all of those other teams and have a unit equipped to deal with any team in the NFC, making a Super Bowl win more than feasible for them to achieve.
Allen will have pressure on him to get Buffalo over the hump in 2026, and the talent around him is more than adequate for him to get the job done.
