The Buffalo Bills will continue their 2026 NFL regular season on Monday with their next game en route against the Los Angeles Rams. Kickoff on "Monday Night Football" is slated for 8:15 p.m. from SoFi Stadium.
The Rams got back to winning ways after faltering early this season as they are fresh off a comeback win and sit at 2-2. Meanwhile, the Bills fell to 3-1 and sustained their first loss of the year a week ago.
Between two such teams, what should you keep in mind during the contest?
With that, here are Bills Wire's five things to watch for in Week 5:
The pressure is on
The Bills are fresh off their first loss of the season and that happens to nearly every single team, every NFL season.
However, the nature of the Bills' defeat to the New England Patriots last week
has put pressure on Buffalo to respond in a big way. How do the Bills respond to that pressure, particularly from the get go?
Will Josh be a full go?
Quarterback Josh Allen did not have a strong game against the Pats. The ending of it was highlighted because of his costly interception. There were signs throughout the game, though. Allen did not have any rushing yards until the fourth quarter. Is the QB playing at full health?
Can offense keep up?
Stick with the offense, can Buffalo keep up with what the Rams have? The Bills' passing attack was lackluster compared to the Patriots in Week 4. If this is a shootout, the Bills have to find a way to respond whether its from Allen or a James Cook led ground game.
None of that will be easy against a solid defense with defensive tackle Aaron Donald back in the middle of it... thankfully, one of the NFL's best ever pass rushers in Myles Garrett is on injured reserve.
A scary Rams offense
Speaking of that Rams' attack, it's a powerful offense that should rightfully scare Buffalo. The poor play in the Bills' secondary needs little introduction and the injury status of cornerback Christian Benford (foot) is still unknown.
That unit will face an offense led by quarterback Matthew Stafford, who is throwing passes to wide receivers Davante Adams and now a healthy Puka Nacua.
Is anyone back who was hurt last week?
Benford did not play last week. Three other Bills players joined him on the sideline after starting the game. The likes of DJ Moore (shoulder), defensive tackle Ed Oliver (knee) and cornerback Dee Alford (ankle) all left and did not return in Week 4.
The extra day the Bills have before playing on Monday could help.
