"Buffalo Joe" is staying home.
According to Netflix's Tom Pelissero, the Buffalo Bills and linebacker Joe Andreessen have signed a two-year contract extension worth $5 million with $3M of the guaranteed:
Nicknamed "Buffalo Joe" as a Buffalo native who attended games growing up, Andreessen and provided valuable depth on the Bills defense and has been a key special teamer.
The 26-year-old who also attended the University at Buffalo first joined the team in 2024 following a rookie minicamp tryout after going undrafted. Andreessen successfully earned a contract to join the Bills at training camp and went on to make the team.
Andreessen has appeared in all three games for the Bills so far this season and has been in the lineup 33 times while making three starts
over the past three years. Andreessen has recorded 66 tackles, including two for loss, in that span.
Andreessen has appeared in 75 percent of Buffalo's snaps on specials teams in 2026 and has featured in more then 71 percent of them each year of his career.
Andreessen and the Bills (3-0) will face the New England Patriots (1-2) on Sunday in Week 4.
