Even after a commanding 36-10 victory over the Baltimore Ravens, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen is keeping his focus entirely on team execution and on keeping things in perspective.
Following the Sunday afternoon blowout win at home in Orchard Park, Allen joined CBS Sports sideline reporter Evan Washburn to discuss the team's performance in what proved to be a blowout win in the end.
"Halftime, just talking to the guys, like 'that wasn't us in the first half'," the former NFL MVP said. "And we figured out a way to go out there and execute and just trust each other. And defense played a heck of a football game, got the ball in good field position, and and we made some stuff shake in the second half".
While the dominant win in front of a home
field crowd gave Bills fans plenty to celebrate, Allen took time twice during his immediate postgame remarks to express his concern and well wishes for two opponents who left the game with injuries.
The quarterback specifically sent his best wishes to Ravens quarterbacks Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley following the physical matchup that saw them exit early on.
"I do hope Lamar's doing alright," the Bills QB said about the Ravens signal caller. "You hate to see that from a competitive standpoint, I hope he's doing okay."
The classy gesture showed Allen's leadership on and off the field, as he focused on the Baltimore QBs health and well being.
"I mean, anytime you lose your quarterback, it's going to be tough," he added. "Again, you never like seeing that, so I hope both of them are okay."
For Allen, the focus quickly shifts from celebrating a big win against a conference rival to continuing to do so against the team's next opponents to stay atop the AFC.
