The Buffalo Bills will visit the Las Vegas Raiders at Allegiant Stadium on Sunday with an important win on the line. Come the end of the season, these early season AFC victories are handy to have
For this conference battle between Joe Brady's Bills (4-1) and Klint Kubiak's Raiders (3-2), it will be the games, within the game, that will make all the difference.
Here are Bills Wire's three key matchup to watch between the Bills vs. Raiders matchup in Week 5:
OL Spencer Brown vs. DE Maxx Crosby
Brown was dealing with a back injury but he will play on Sunday. He will be tasked with blocking Raiders pass rusher Maxx Crosby, one of the NFL's best over the past few years.
LB Terrel Bernard vs. TE Brock Bowers
Bernard has had a rough season. Pro football Focus grades him as the 54th best linebacker in the entire NFL heading into
Week 6 out of 72 qualifying players. He usually leads the way in pass coverage from the position, meaning he will have a say in regard to Raiders tight end Brock Bowers.
Bowers is on fire. In his three games this year, he has two over 100 yards and the other was 86. Not to mention, double-digit catches in each of those outings.
Bernard has to slow him down. If he can, Bernard will slow down the entire Raiders offense.
DT Deone Walker vs. OL Tyler Linderbaum
Walker has been a consistent force in the middle of the Bills' defensive line. The Raiders' offensive line has not had the best of seasons.
Linderbaum mans the Las Vegas offensive line at the center position but the entire Raiders' interior O-line has had a rough year. Las Vegas has two guards in Jackson Powers-Johnson and Spencer Burford who rank among PFF's worst players at their position in the NFL.
Walker could end up being a force in this one.
