Buffalo Bills left tackle Dion Dawkins has lost a significant amount of weight this offseason ahead of 2026 NFL training camp.
As a guest on Saturday’s episode of the “Up & Adams Show,” Dawkins revealed that he has lost around 43 pounds and is looking forward to playing at a higher level physically next season.
“I will be quicker, faster and more lean on the football field,” Dawkins said. “Being in the offseason, being around Myles Garrett, I said ‘you know what, this guy is the best for a reason.’ He looks like the best. He acts like he’s the best. He trains like he’s the best. He works out like he’s the best. He’s the best. What does Dion do? Ok, I want to do everything the exact same way. On the football field, I’m going to be quicker.”
Dawkins
is listed at 320 pounds by the team. He is one of the better offensive tackles in the NFL, and with his improved frame, is likely to be in better position to have a season of note in 2026. Pro Football Focus graded Dawkins a 74.1 overall mark last season, good for the 26th best tackle grade in the NFL
The Bills will need Dawkins to be at his best to protect quarterback Josh Allen next season as the team carries Super Bowl expectations for the upcoming year.
