It's not set in stone, but a report indicates which quarterback might start for the Minnesota Vikings against the Buffalo Bills in Week 9.
The Bills (6-1) and Vikings (6-1) will clash on "Monday Night Football." That gives an extra day of rest for any injuries, including the hamstring issue Minnesota quarterback Kyler Murray has reportedly dealt with since Sunday.
In Week 8, the Vikings lost their first game of the 2026 NFL season in a 19-15 final against the Detroit Lions.
Murray was 17-for-29 passing for 210 yards with two touchdowns and an interception in the game. Murray was also Minnesota's leading rushing with 35 yards on four carries. Murray did not leave the contest at any point but looked like he was limited by the injury.
Despite that
being another indication Murray might be back under center, ESPN's Adam Schefter suggests otherwise.
Speaking via ESPN's "Get Up," Schefter said the Vikings are "trending" toward starting backup Carson Wentz at this point
