The Buffalo Bills are prepping this week for what might be the toughest defense the team will face during the 2026 NFL season. Quarterback Josh Allen is not as much worried as he is excited about that.
The Bills (6-1) will visit the Minnesota Vikings (6-1) for a "Monday Night Football" contest in Week 9.Heading into it, it is well known how strong the Vikings are as a team defensively.
Minnesota's defense leads the NFL in fewest points allowed per game (13.3), sack percentage (10.96%) and QB pressure rate (45.8%) and second in yards (271.6).
Buffalo's offense has reason to be confident themselves but the challenge ahead is what Allen is most excited for.
"They're the No. 1 defense for a reason. They're giving a lot of teams fits," Allen said. "As
a competitor you're like 'heck yeah, I want to play the best.'"
That mindset is shared in Buffalo's locker room. Offensive lineman Spencer Brown echoed the QB's mindset.
"It's challenging but at the same time it's going to be pretty fun," Brown said. "They do a lot of different things, they have a lot of different playmakers."
