The Buffalo Bills and Los Angeles Rams will continue their 2026 NFL regular season schedules on Sunday when the two teams do battle at SoFi Stadium in Week 5.
Like there will be every week, there are plenty of expected headlines that will pop up during the days leading up to this one between the Bills (3-1) and Rams (2-2). Yes, some will be obvious... but others not so much.
With that, here are Bills Wire's five storylines to watch for ahead of Week 5:
Pressure has shifted in a hurry
In quick fashion, the national spotlight is all over the Bills heading into this matchup. Prior to kickoff on Sunday, it was the opposite.
The Rams had a comeback win against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 4. Meanwhile, the Bills coughed it up against the New England Patriots.
The Bills are going
to be asked all week about having to bounce back for the first time.
Monday affair
It's simple, but a logical talking point: The Bills are playing a prime-time game for the first time this year. "Thursday Night Football" is technically not considered that by the NFL, for whatever reason.
The Bills are also traveling across the country for it. Two circumstances that will be discussed in the coming days.
Secondary issues
This needs little introduction.
Between the injury status of Christian Benford (foot) who did not play against the Patriots, to Max Hairston who apologized for his poor play, Buffalo's defense and the secondary specifically, has to be better... and they have a tough task ahead of them in quarterback Matthew Stafford, wide receivers Puka Nacua and Davante Adams, and the rest of the Rams offense.
Injuries last week
The Bills already had Benford out. He was joined by a few other players during the Bills' last game. The likes of DJ Moore (shoulder), defensive tackle Ed Oliver (knee) and cornerback Dee Alford (ankle) all left and did not return in Week 4.

Not the MVP favorite
After his first bad showing of the year, Bills quarterback Josh Allen is no longer the 2026 NFL MVP favorite. How does he respond? Allen will talk about how he plans to before he gets a chance to really do so.
