The Bills did not take an easy route to Sunday's win over the Los Angeles Chargers.
In fact, they made it harder on themselves by turning the ball over several times on offense.
Josh Allen and company have plenty of self awareness of the matter, and had the wherewithal to stick it out and fight their way back on to the scoreboard and into the win column to improve to 3-0 on the season.
Buffalo tight end Dawson Knox was wired for sound as the team worked its way through the ups and downs of the roller coaster experience through the 24-16 contest at Highmark Stadium.
Knox's voice on and off the field offers a different perspective of a game that kept testing the offense, and provided a first hand view of the morale and spirit lifting presence he brings
as a leader and captain on the team.
Before kickoff, the message was confident and reassuring while leading a pregame huddle. "We're prepared. We put in the work. Money's in the bank. Get to go take some out of it today," Knox said. "Have fun!"
Later, as Buffalo tried to steady itself from their bumpy start in the first half, he kept the message smaller: "One play at a time. Just put the ball down. We're good, boys," he encouraged.
There is some levity, too. "I forgot that I'm mic'd up," Knox mused in reminder that the camera caught more than a polished postgame reaction, but his real time experiences and responses.
It might be one of the most fun and wholesome things you watch and hear after an NFL game.
Knox caught one pass for five yards, and continued to be a significant part of the blocking and coverage lining up that's helped to unlock this Bills offensive attack.
